Modifying Tasks Transcript
In the last video, we learned how to create a task, and now it’s time to learn how to edit them. In this video, you will learn how to change the name, due date, and reminder of a task. We’ll also go over how to add steps , notes, and file attachments to a task. Finally, you’ll learn how to delete a task.
To see a detailed view of a task all you have to do is click on the task in your list. A panel with all the task’s detail will slide in on the right of the screen.
To change the name of the task, all you have to do is click on the name and begin typing to make whatever changes you need. I forgot to add what class this paper is for, so I’ll go ahead and add that in now.
To change the due date, recurrence, or reminder date, all you have to do is click on it and choose another date exactly as we did in the last video.
To add a step or multiple steps to a task, click on “add step” and begin typing the name or a description of the step. When you’re ready, hit the enter key to add that as step and start typing your next step. This can be repeated for as many steps as you need.
In order to attach a file to your task, you can click “add file.” This will open a popup window of your file browser. Navigate to the file you want to attach, click on it, and click open. Now your file is attached to the task and can be directly opened from the To Do app by clicking on it.
To add a note, all you have to do is click the box that says add note and then begin typing your notes for the task. Finally, if you want to delete a task, click the trash can icon in the bottom right.
Now you know how to modify the details of a task as well as delete a task.
